Increase Authentication and Session time out in .net 2.0

Hi, I am trying to increase Authentication and session time out in .net 2.0. I tried   this in web config

<sessionstate mode="Inproc"  timeout="540">

<authentication mode="forms">

 <form name="test"  loginurl="~/login.aspx" protection="all" timeout="540" slidingexpiration="true" path="/"/>

</authentication>

Made changes on IIS 5.0 to set the time out for session and authentication. Nothing worked.

Any suggestions. I want the user logged in for 4 hours with out timing out.
