Does anybody know where I can find any reading material on setting up a security structure for something like an Intranet site. This is my first time setting up a security structure where system level, form level, and field level security is required (VS 2005). If you have any ideas please feel free.
My current plan is to store the system, form, and field level information in a MS SQL database based on the client's User ID and password. Once they login the information is pulled depending on what system their accessing. This information is stored in a class, through a SQL session ID and contains all of the data regarding the security for that page. I'll then create custom controls with an attribute that specify's whether the user has read or update access.
