I am the new Applications Architect/Development Team Manager in a small organization.�  It's been an Oracle shop for years.�  The Data Architect has been here for some years (was the one and only DBA till recently) and has pretty well called the shots in the development arena.�  The concept of developers designing their own DB objects and procs seems to be a foreign one around here.�
