Communicating b/w two DotNet Winforms systems in a same machine

Hi,

We have two WinForms systems developed on DotNet framework 2.0 and VS 2005. Both the systems are in production. For certain functionality, we need to invoke business functions from System 1 to System 2. Eg. when the user select a record on a view and say "Buy Asset" should open the second system with the buy screen.

We had thought of communicating using DotNet remoting or any messaging standards. We don't want to complicate this as both the systems are running in the same machine and we want to utilize this better. Any� other approaches� ?
