I've got a dropdown and a textbox. Now the dropdown has a list of things like name, date, phone #, etc. What I want to do is, depending on what the user selects, validate data entered into the textbox accordingly. For example, if the user selects 'Date', ensure that the data entered into the textbox is a date. Suggestions for accomplishing this? Oh, and any AJAX suggestions are welcome too. Thanks in advance!
