Stop Validation when Cancel button is click so server can redirect client to new page

I have a Cancel button on a form that I wish to user to redirect the user to another page. But when the button is clicked the Validation applied to the text boxes is still applied an will not allow the page to tranfer.
Server.Transfer("problem_uploadpage.aspx")
The Validation Summary comes up showing what needs to be fixed, but I want to Cancel the entire input.
Anyone have an idea on how to do this?
