I have a ModalPopup and a gridview. Gridview is inside the Modalpopup. There is a dropdown on the page which when selected associated data will be displayed in the Modalpopu(gridView). Currently I'm using the UpdatePanel to not make the wole page refresh, but it is not that economical. I want to use the AJAX webservice. I have a WebMethod built which will return the result. I'm using the ModalPopu's webservice parameters. But I'm having hard time in implementing this scnario. How can I assing the result(must be dataset or dataTable because I aslo need to provide paging in the gridview otherwise I would have created HTML table with the result) from the WebMethod to a GridView using inbuilt AJAX ModalPopup's propertries.
