Hi i am trying to insert a new record to the database related to a user and i have created an add page using the details view control.
the add page shows fileds the user is to enter and when all fields are filled in the page inserts the data to the correct table but there are two fields in which i dont want the user to enter as this should be done automatically, the two fields are "PropertyID" which is the primarykey for the table and is an int type with auto increment and the other is UserName which should be related to the user adding the data. I have already set a session with the user's UserName for other parts of the site and now i want to place that value into the boundfield of UserName which i will set visible to false so the user cant see to add.
Can anyone help me take the session and place the value into this field.
