I am working on Windows XP Pro SP2 64 bit Edition with VS2008 / 3.5 framework and have noticed that on postback my textboxes are uneditable. In fact, the only thing i can do is switch focus. The caret will only move to the first position in the textbox. I can't highlight with mouse or keys, I can't type, delete, move the cursor, etc.
On keyup my from does client-side validation which works flawlessly. Upon submission, my code performs the server-side repeat validation with a few additions and either logs the user in or shows the appropriate error messages.
Upon an error, everything displays correctly, but as I mentioned above, the textboxes are uneditable. I can play around for a bit with key and mouse movements and eventually it releases the lock, but there's no specific way that I've seen to immediately release. Very intermittent.
