Hi,

I have an aspx page which loads a windows form user control dll. This dll in turn references other dlls.

The problem is that it takes some time to load these dll's.

When I use fiddler tool to see the activity on the client what I noticed that this is the order of dll search. Lets take the dll name as abc.dll

1. First the request is sent for /abc.dll which means the root directory for IIS
2. Then request is sent for /abc/abc.dll
3. Then request is sent for /bin/abc.dll
4. Then it tries to find exe with the same in all the above three. (3 more steps)
5. In the 7th step it goes to correct folder http://website/<dll folder>/abc.dll and gets it

This wastes a lot of time in network roundtrip. The application is deployed at client side across the country. So it becomes further slower as the network bandwith is constrained.

If i keep all dll's in wwwroot path ...
