I have two dropdownlists in two different tabpanels on a page. One of the dropdownlists is in a DetailsView and thats the one i'm having trouble with, the one outside the detailsview works fine.
I want to populate this dropdownlist with employee names from a database based on the user signed in... the detailsview is used to insert data to a table in the database.. i used the following code to populate the dropdownlists with the employee names... i faced the following problems:
1- after i used this code the detailsview stopped inserting the data to the database.
2- after a postback the the dropdownlist shows up empty.
