I am trying to do data type validation on my form. I have several fields but I am trying to do 3 types of validation, string, email, and integer. I know asp.net has built in controls but I want to be able to use the javascript alert boxes. For example if a user enters Name1 in the NAME field I want an alert box to popup with an error message. So far I have not been able to do this with the built in validation controls.
