One of the pages in my ASP.NET 3.5 website is causing me a problem. I can edit it in Source view but if I switch to Design view, VWD 2008 Express always gives me the error 'Microsoft Visual WD has encountered a problem and needs to close'. This happens just as the page completes opening in Design view. The page was fine until I made some edits yesterday. Removing these edits didn't fix the problem, so I completely uninstalled VWD, erased all references to 'VWDExpress' in the Windows Registry and reinstalled VWD.
Unfortunately, the problem still remains. So also, does the refusal of VWD to display this particular project in the 'Recent Project' list. I'm guessing that there is some sort of corruption in my project files. Can anyone recommend a procedure for fixing this?
This is rather urgent for me as my website is scheduled to go live in a few days!
