Show Progress Steps

 Hi i have a problem i need to show the step where i'm processing an algorithm during the postback.
for example:
public void doAlgorithm()
{

labelProc.Text = "ON STEP 1";
step1();
labelProc.Text = "ON STEP 2";
step2();
labelProc.Text = "ON STEP 3";
step3();
} Is anyway to do this during the postback, with ajax or some way else? Thanks in advance
