I have a sharepoint extranet site that has a couple document libraries. My issue is the amount of prompts for authentication. I know to add the site to trusted sites and change the custom level of the security to use login and password, but that isn't a solution for my customer who is unable to add trusted sites to their computer bc of their internal network restrictions and getting their IT dept to make the change is like trying to move the Grand Canyon. Is there anyway possible to be able to remove the prompts the user recieves each time they open a document in word? I have read all the below and it doesn't help bc I can't set the trusted sites. I was wondering if changing to forms based authentication would make a difference but don't want to spend the hours doing so only to find out it didn't help.
