It is well explained how to create Membership provider data store to store Membership using ASPNET_REGSQL.EXE utility at www.asp.net/learn/security-videos and www.asp.net/learn/videos sections.
It is well explained by Joe Stagner, ASP.NET Team that there are 3 ways to store password in Membership data store
Clear - clear text Encrypt - Encrypted using AES or specified encryption algorithm hashed - password is hashed and stored So far so good.
There is no video or discussion on how to Decrypt the passwords or hashed passwords in Membership data store to normal text.
When I created SQLServer Membership database and created couple of users, in Web.config Membership section , password is configured to hash. So it is stored hashed values of password in database.
Is there ...
