Do the settings in a web.config file in a directory trump the settings that might be found in a web.config higher up?
For example, if the web.config in the directory below grants all users access to all folders and subfolders under 'worldnet'
C:\documents and settings\all users\websites\worldnet
Would a web.config file under 'accounting' trump those permissions?
C:\documents and settings\all users\websites\worldnet\accounting
I'm curious if the approach that I should take is to give all users access to the site ..\worldnet\web.config and then restrict them further down as appropriate ..\worldnet\accounting\web.config working from the assumption that everyone should have access to everything unless prohibited.
Although I normally go the opposite route - deny everything and grant as needed - the nature of the project is such that it is a safe assumption that everyone needs access to everything, with only a few ...
