So I have an asp.net ajax style web application which displays each diferent "content page" using UpdatePanels. One of these "content pages" is a form displaying data on a particular database record. I would like the users to be able to hyperlink to that particular content page, and to a particular database record, much like you would be able to do on a standard html page that uses the post method. Something like www.mypage.com/Default.aspx?Record=11.
I have come up with 2 possible ways of implementing this: One is to to actually read the post data in the url on server side and dinamically display the corresponding content. The thing about this implementation is that it would be convenient for the users to see the url with the post information when they are viewing the content so they can copy and paste it to theyr hyperlink. But of course I don't want to actually submit ...
