Hi, I am using asp.net 2.0
Depending on user, my web app is designed to filter a number of parameters based on the user organisation. This controls the functionality and look and feel of the apps.
I have saved the required parameters in an xml file which I read on Page_preRender_complete using an XMLDocument.  I have stored the parameters in public static variables. There are about 2 dozens parameters, including string arrays
I have about a dozen classes in App_code that use these static variables to make the change to the application before it loads.
Using the above design, the application takes a while to load up. Also with public static variables, it consumes more memory.
I am thinking of a number of alternatives: Any suggestions which is the best practice:
1. Transfer all the classes from App_code to a new project, use public variables, instead of public static. Add this project reference to my web app ...
