Fairly new to the whole ASP.Net thing...long time VBA/Office developer (nearly 18 years!), but now trying to break into this "Internet" thing...I guess it's here to stay!
Anyway, I'm looking for advice on the best approach to populating a static, read only html table.  I have a 5x5 table that contains 16 distinct pieces of data all derived from individual SQL statements.  The user will choose a value from a dropdownlist and then the page will render based on a series of parameterized queries.
What is the best way to layout my page?  Do I just put a label control in each cell with a distinct name and then set the text value of the label control to the value returned by the query?
The table structure is static, but the data content is dynamic (and read only), so I see no need for a datagrid or gridview.
