I have a Image control placed in an AJAX UpdatePanel. Sometimes when the user interact I'm switching the image by changing the ImageURL property of the Image control. The code works and no full-page postback is occurring! But the problem is: It takes about 4 seconds to load each image, so when a new image is loading, no image i visible which result in whitespace over the area. That isn't strange because the foreign image is of course unloaded before start loading the new one. But I think it would be nice if the foreign image could stay until the new is fully loaded, to prevent the ugly whitespace from getting visible.
My question is then, how to make the foreign image to stay visible until the new is fully loaded?
