I've been working on a few website pages recently in which I have GridViews for which I bind data dynamically. I have certain static buttons for each row (Edit, Save) which dynamically create controls like DropDownLists and TextBoxs in cells of the GridView. When I click the Save button for instance, I want to be able to get the values the user entered in the dynamically created controls. The problem is, they disappear when the button is clicked because of Postback. As far as I know, the only way I can get the values from them is if I create the controls again on PageLoad and it somehow, magically loads the selected value into the newly-created control, but that just seems ridiculous.
There has to be a more feasible way to do this. Is there?
