I have been beating my head against the wall trying to figure this out and am admitting uncle.  I have a 2003 R2 Enterprise Server with IIS 6 installed using ASP.NET 2.0.  I have removed the default web site and created a new web site for my ASP.NET site.  When I go to browse the site locally in the IIS manager or remotely with a web browser, I get the 401.3 error.  I have looked at every folder, file and security combincation I can think of and still can get it running.  Does anyone have pointers as to what else I might examine?  Or, is there a way I can restore all the ACL settings to defaults to just override anything I have done?
