I have been presented with a problem that I would like your suggestions/ideas on solving.
A search results page has listing of pdf files (links to them). The user would like to add a checkbox next to each link that will allow them to check multiple files and send to the printer. They would also like another button that can do a "print all" of all the files that are returned by the search. Currently they have to open each file and issue print command.
The only solution I have come up with is merging all the pdf files that they selected on the server side using .net and sending the merged pdf file back to the browser where the user can then click on the browser or acrobat reader print button.
i don't know if it will work or not, but any suggestions/ideas on the above solution on how to implement?
Also if there is any other way like client-side scripting or vbscript on server-side, that would be great!
