Inspired by this thread, to ask something I've been meaning to for ages. Should I use ASP.Net & CSharp
I've been using ASP.NET & VB for about 1 year now on and off. I don't get to work on it full time, but I'm OK at it. No MS quals yet. I know everyone says that they never stop learning, but I definately still have a lot to learn in VB and ASP.
I read a lot of job adverts seemingly preferring C#, and I've heard people say that it's better to use C# than VB. One reason quoted is that it's closer to javascript? Another being to do with unmanaged code, but how often is that used now?
Would be really interested to hear your points of view, from both a usage point of view, and probably with a career development point of view too.
