pass a parameter from popup window to another window that it is open

Hi
I have a page that it contain a button .When user click the button a new popup window open and current window does not close.
User search the person and find it on this popup window.Now I want to pass this founded value to previous window to a textbox that is open then close the popup window.How can I do this?
