I have a folder which contains a .doc file in my web application. Only authenticated users are able to download .doc file.
I used related authentication methods in web.config file. Everything works fine when I right-click on "Default.aspx" file and select "View in Browser" in VS developer environment. But, when uploaded onto localhost then it does not work. '.doc' file can be accessed without authentication.
what could be the reason? I have iis 7.0 on windows server 2008.
