I want to replace all '<' which is not a part of a certain tag with regular expressions in java...When I have the following text: "<INS>this....</INS><INS>...<b>....</INS>" and use the reg.exp. below I get this result:
"<INS>this....</INS><INS>...<>....</INS>" but I want: "<INS>this....</INS><INS>...<b>....</INS>"
Why is the "b" also replaced and how to fix?
