filtered record doesnot remain when some other buttons are pressed

i have a serachbutton and text box to enter text to be searched . depending on the text enetered the grid record gets filtered and displayed in teh grid.

but the filtered record doesnot remain when some other buttons are pressed.

i want the filtered state/records to remian till the user clicks RESET button where in all the firlters will be cleared

application is in asp.net
