I am creating an ASP website with a MSSQL2008 db. I want to use one db to hold data and membership. I am using Visual Web Studio 2008 with SQL2008 both Express versions. I use the ASPNET_regsql.exe to add the membership to my main data DB and it seems to work but get lost thereafter.
Whenever I want to configure or add a user, I use the ASP.Net Configuration tool from Database Explorer within VWS.
I create the user roles access etc and save. When I look for the login info it is not in my main data db but it keeps creating the ASPNetDB.mdf with the user info stored there.
What am I doing wrong?? I have tried looking at various how-to's but do not seem to get the results I need.
any help would be appreciated as this web is overdue and i need to get this figured out ASAP.
