I have a web site project that does not compile. There are hundreds of errors. The site is deployed on a production server and it works with only some timeout errors. I need to debug this app, but feel that I'd have to tear the entire thing apart to try and figure out where all these errors are coming from.
Why would a site run fine when deployed on a prod server, but be unable to compile the web site as a solution. Compilation would be useful so I can step through debug. What does this kind of issue tell you about the web site? There is a base page that most of the aspx pages inherit from and this appears to be the source of most of the errors.
