I'm trying to use the ASP.NET Configuration tool under the Website menu in VS2005. When I click on the Security tab (or link) I get 'Unable to connect to SQL
Server database'
Clearly the application cannot connect to my database, but I'm not familiar enough with the tools to figure out how to fix it. I searched the ASP.NET forums for a solution and and Googled it loads but am still stuck.
I'm running SQLServer 2000 and SQLServer 2008. I have run the cmd line tool aspnet_regsql -W and followed the wizard to create/configure the aspnetdb on both instances in turn as I have been troubleshooting.
