can securityTrimmingEnabled work with a menu that uses a XMLDatasource?

Good morning!
I have a website lets say fred, with roles enabled all via asp.net. At the root I have the default Web.sitemap that runs teh main show. I want to have may sub sites, lets say fred/wilma. At the wilma root I have WilmaXMLMenu.xml. My master page has a menu, menu is bound to an XMLDatasource. The XMLDatasource looks to WilmaXMLMenu.xml, and all is good.


What I'm trying to do is write somthing in wilma/web.config, or even in <root> web.config that will allow the menus in wilma to behave similarly to the menues fred.
