Hello,

I'm a newbie (I know I don't need excuses in this forum) and have followed the first eight video tutorials on ASP.NET and VWD.  So now I know how to build simple Web apps that let a user edit DB rows.  I need a variation in the form of a roster where the columns are a continually shifting block of, e.g., three months from the present day and the rows are employees.  Each cell would just be a one character status for vacation, leave, etc.

Is this something easy to do in ASP.NET?  I assume there's a calendar object that you can plug in to keep the columns updated with respect to time?  I'd like to make this so that the administrator can assign roles to users, managers can paginate through months and edit the status for employees and other employees can view-only.

Thanks.

John
