Hi ,
I have an asp.net application which reads .csv file and stores the file content in a datatable. This is an intranet application.
My webpage has FileUploadControl (to browse the file) and a submit button (to read the csv data into a datatable.)
I am using System.IO namespace methods to read the .csv file.My application works fine on my machine( Machine1)
But If I try to access my application from another computer(Machine2) and browse a .csv file on desktop (Machine 2) and click on submit, system is throwing a message File not found. From the error message what I understood is that my application is trying to find out the file on my machine
(Machine1) instead of Machine2.
Is it possible to get the path and read the file which is on other machine??Do I need to use any impersonation to access it?
Please help me .
I am using windows authentication. Both machines are on in the same domain.
Thanks in advance!
