Split text string from textbox to labels or textbox

I use a textbox with an ajax autocomplete control, using vb.net
When you start typing the name of a customer, it autocompletes the available customers from sql database, showing name firstname and customernr in that textbox. So far so good and that part works fine.
Now I need to be able to split out the customernr out of that autocomplete textbox.
Does anyone know how to use the split in vb.net to show name, firstname and customernr on 3 labels. That's all I need to figure out. I found some pages on the net, but none tells how to display it to a label or textbox.
