My "ViewGroups" page retrieves a list of groups that the currently logged in user is a member of. The list is displayed in a repeater, and the user can the click on any of these to retrieve its details. However, in retrieving details, I need to pass the ID of the group selected. Although not critical, I'd like to keep the ID secret and so was wondering what the best way of achieving this would be. I can't use a hidden field, as it's easy to use a program to uncover any hidden fields on a page. Is there a way, maybe using the repeater, to keep the ID server side and not have it transmit across the network? Or will the only way be to encrypt the ID and store in a hidden variable?
