Hi,
In one of my application, I have to monitor a sql 2005 table for the date and time and based on that I have to trigger some acitivities (say execute a batch file).
To be more clear, my sql table will have columns Request_Id, Start_Date, Start_Time. I have to monitor this table and copy a file from one location to other automatically at the date and time specified in this table.
How do i do that? One solution i had in mind was creating a windows service and another solution was creating sql job scheduler for each request. Is there any other way I can do this?
