Not sure of the best location for this question, so I'm dumping it on the front step :)
I need pull a list of employee's from a table/view/list from Sharepoint for the user to select from a combo box. I'm not looking to integrate Sharepoint services with my web app, just pull some info from there. I've made some progress doing some sql queries, but by design Sharepoint isn't designed to be interfaced that way, and is intentionally convuluted to steer developers away from doing such a thing.
