Hi all!
I need to build a simple and fast routine that imports data from Excel 2003 and Excel 2007 sheets into a SQL2005 Server database. No editing or viewing of the files content is necessary. The amount of columns and columnname/sheetname in the files will be fixed and amount of rows varying from 10 - 3-4000. I need to create a webpage(Visual Studio 2005/2008, ASP.NET3.5) where the use can upload the file to the webserver (Windows Server 2008, IIS 7.0) and afterwards import the data to the database (Web and DB on different servers).
So..I'm a little unsure of where to start and what technologies that will fit the above mentioned specs, anyone have suggestions? :)
