I am working on an application has a requirement that users upload really large (hour long talks as mp3) files to the server.  I am currently using the fileUpload control with certain settings changed in the web.config to allow larger files.   Is this the best way to do this?  Obviously it takes a really long time for a user to upload.  I have a really fast connection and it takes like around 10 minutes for mine.  Most of my users have slower connections.  I looked into the FtpWebRequest Class but my seems to be for uploading to other ftp servers, not directly to my site.  I really don't know how ftp works, but my hosting provider said I couldn't do it.
Are there any other options to speed up the upload.  I know it is unlikely but just asking to make sure:)
