Recently I switched to a new hosting which is operating on medium trust mode. My ASP.Net applications accessing web resources by screen scraping have broken. I'm getting this error,
Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.WebPermission, System,
Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
failed.
The hosting company refuse to change the trust mode or release the override lock. I couldn't figure out a way to access the web resources from my ASP.Net apps. I even tried writing a PHP page which retrieves the page content from the source website for the ASP.Net apps. But accessing this PHP page by http://localhost/.... is also denied by the .Net security policies. Is there a way I can access the web resources from the ASP.Net apps?
