Hi,
I have a requirement for an address user control. The control is used many times throughout the site. In some instances I only need the city state and zip portions of the control, but the way it is layed out, I can't just put those controls in a panel and set the visible property. I'd like to use the same code behind that performs the logic for looking up the zip and populating the city state, etc. To get around this problem I coppied the ascx file of the address control, renamed it, and modified the <%@ control declaration so that it points to the same code behind file and inherits from that class. From there I rearranged the controls the way I needed it. It appears to work the way I expected, but since its the first time I've tried anything like that I want to get someone else's oppition.
Is this inline with "best practicies"
Is there a better way to do this using the same class?
