The ASP.NET 4.0 AJAX Preview 4 has been released on CodePlex.
This preview builds on top of the existing ASP.NET AJAX framework (.NET Framework 3.5 SP1), and greatly simplifies the process of creating dynamic data-driven UI in the browser. In this release we add further to the client-side data story introduced in Previews 1, 2 and 3, enabling new client-side data scenarios for both page and component developers.
JSON data from a Web service or an ADO.NET data service can be rendered as HTML UI on the client in a highly manageable and efficient way, using ASP.NET AJAX templates. You can create dynamic pages such as editable master-detail views, with little or no JavaScript code.
