I have developed an intranet application for a client. When a user launches the application the credentials of the user are used to define the permissions people have in the application.
I do not want any users to be prompted for a password when they launch the application.
To achieve this I initially set the web.config as follows:
<authentication mode="Windows"/>
<authorization>
<deny users="?"/>
</authorization>
However, users are prompted for a password with this setting.
I then tried the following:
<authentication mode="None"/>
<authorization>
<deny users="?"/>
</authorization>
When I try this, users can access the application. However, I am unable to authorize users ...
