My usual method for getting rid of the "A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client" error message is to set validateRequest=false. However, I'm in a situation now where I don't want to do that, and I also don't want them to get the "nasty" looking error message when they attempt to put bold tags around some text. So, I'd like to trap this error and give a simple friendly error message, something to the affect that "we have detected potentially dangerous values in your text. If you have entered HTML, XML, or JavaScript in your text, please remove the text". However, there seems to be no way to trap this error.
Does anyone know how to trap this? I'm currently using asp.net version 2.something. If anyone can give me a hint, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jesse
