Building URLs from Identity

 I have a database with the following columns:
ID
txtBox1
txtBox2
URL

I've got a form with txtbox1 txtbox2. Stuff in those two text boxes go into the table once I click submit, nice and simple.

The URL part is giving me problems. I want to build a URL like www.whatever.com/Default.aspx?ID=xxx where xxx comes from the ID column.

I've got this in my code behind:

Dim start as string = "<a href=www.testing.com/Default.aspx?id="
Dim middle as string = ">"
Dim pageID as ?????
Dim end as string = "</a>

'..then have something like:
URL = start + pageID + middle + end
' and have that go into my URL ...
