I have a web application built using VS 2010 and .NET 4. I want to upgrade it to .NET 4.5 to avail of the improved GC performance but I see you can't target 4.5 in VS2010. I can upgrade it to VS2012 but I'd rather not at this time.
I see that .NET 4.5 seems to overwrite 4.0 when you install it, does that mean if you install 4.5 on the server all applications targeting 4.0 will automatically 4.5 or do you need to specifically target 4.5? Is there any way to get an app in VS2010 to run in 4.5?
