I wrote a survey application which collects user responses and then allows the administrator to enter a calculation formula to tabulate results. This could be as simple as (A1 + A2 + A3 - A4)/4 or as complex as choosing the highest or lowest of a set of scores plus a bunch of other stuff.

The solution I came up with was to allow the user to supply an XLST which I would apply to an XML document of the user's responses. The only hassle was that XSLT in .NET is the old version of XSLT (lots of functions don't exist such as MIN or MAX without adding lengthly XSLT methods). I did discover the ability to put C# inside the XSLT which makes it really easy to make it do what I want it to do. However, having ASP.NET use an XSLT with C# embedded requires full trust on the ASP.NET web app, which many web hosts don't allow you to do. Most shared web hosts only allow modified medium trust.

The only other solution I could come up ...
