Open page in password protected folder

Is there a way to open a page in a password protected folder in a domain other than the one in which my asp.net code is running? I know the url, login name and password and just want to show the page to the user.
 
 So conceptually something like -
login(http://www.otherdomain.com/private, name, pswd)
open(http://www.otherdomain.com/private/somepage.htm)
